Thursday 29th March 8.00 pm Maundy Thursday joint service with Christ Church.
Friday 30th March Good Friday 10.30 am Stations of the Cross in the Parish Hall, which will not be a service but the opportunity for people to walk around by themselves. Refreshments will also be served. 2.00 pm one hour meditation in church.
Saturday 31st March 2.00 - 4.00 pm Junior Church invites everybody, children and adults, to join in an Easter Extravaganza. This will include Egg Decorating, Pace Egging, (we will tell you what this is later), Treasure Hunt and other activities at Newchurch Parish Church. There will be prizes and refreshments. 7.30 pm Quiet reflection.
Sunday 1st April Easter Sunday 10.30 am Easter Sunday Communion.
Sunday 8th April 3.30 pm Service of Comfort and Hope: As we look to offer greater support for those coping with bereavement this short service (lasting about 40 minutes) is quiet and reflective with readings and prayers offering time for individual reflection and prayer and the opportunity to light a candle. There will also be refreshments served after the service and you are encouraged to stay to share together in the giving and receiving of support and encouragement.
Friday 13th April 7.30 pm Film Night: The next film is, “Truly Madly Deeply” Cert PG, starring Alan Rickman, Juliet Stevenson, Michael Maloney and Bill Paterson. Nina is in mourning after the sudden death of her boyfriend, Jamie, a gifted cellist. However, she has a feeling that he is still around and although she receives support from her family, work colleagues and friends she is letting things get on top of her and neglecting herself and her flat which is now infested with rats. One evening the ghost of Jamie appears and Nina is ecstatic to have him back but he starts to bring his ghostly friends round to watch films at night and starts re-arranging the furniture in the flat.
